Dear Kelly

Thank you so much for taking time  off to come on camp with us. I really enjoyed it.

I really like how you were able to come and help with the food and it was great that

you helped organise things for us. Here are some of the things

I enjoyed

on camp.

I really enjoyed the baking on the hike and you did well with encouraging

everyone on the hike. My most favourite time on the hike was the scavenger

hunt. In the scavenger hunt we had to find a whole lot of things like something

old and something dark.  It was cool seeing all the new plants I hadn’t

seen before.

I also liked the games and free time like Huckle Buckle, soccer,

the Tarp game, Chuck the Dino, the Carpet game and the Spider’s web game.

The game I most enjoyed was Chuck the Dino. There was a lot of teamwork in

the Chuck the Dino game and exercise.

Another activity I liked was the river crossing because it was challenging for

me and my classmates.

It was freezing cold! When we got out of the water my ankles

started to sting.

I went again and then we went deeper than before. It was good to learn how to cross

a river safely.

Thanks for coming on our camp. It was great to have you there.

Descriptive Dinosaur Writing

At the moment in class, we have been working on descriptive writing. We have been using pictures to give us ideas of what to write about. Here Is my piece of writing I did.

The Dinosaur egg

One Original day In London, my dream was to become a scientist and discover dinosaur eggs, and that dream finally came true. In 2019 I started working at the DEA (Dinosaur Explore Academy). On my first day there, I could see the holograms of all the dinosaurs it was so fascinating.

After I got a tour, my boss put me in charge of the 3 eggs. Then I heard a crack,  crunch. I ran to my Boss and I said, “The eggs cracked!! Come on!. We looked at the dinosaurs and the expert said they were all Spinosaurus.

Its now 2024, the Dinosaurs are in an enclosure and we don't know what do do with them, because if we let them free, you will know what will happen.

One day I got a job to do from my boss, he told me to go into the enclosure and tame them. “What…. I need to Practice!” I exclaimed. He said there is no time for that, so I got into my gear and went into the enclosure. I looked for them in there and I couldn’t find them. Then I heard something; a scream went over there and I saw the dinosaurs smashing everything around with broken glass on the floor I could smell fire like I'm in the hot desert. I Climbed up the wall into the room, then one dinosaur when Straight, the other went left and the other went right to my area where I work. I went to the emergency room with the tranquilizer gun and went right. I sprinted like a racing car, then I got chased by one of them I went into the escape room and ran out “This is a bad idea” I say to myself. Two seconds later im corned.

How To Reduce Plastic Waste

This Term Rm 7 are trying to help our Ocean life; we have been thinking how to reduce plastic waste. We decided to make beeswax wrap and fabric bags as things we can use instead of plastic. We had parents come and help us out with both fabric bags and beeswax wrap. 

How to make beeswax wrap

 What you do is you cut out a piece of fabric then grate the beeswax onto it. Then put the baking paper underneath the fabric, and sprinkle beeswax all over the fabric and then put baking paper on the top and get an iron and melt the beeswax.

Then you have something reusable and that doesn't kill ocean life. you can use beeswax wrap instead of glad wrap.  Here are some pictures of what I made.

Designing a logo

Today in Ms Chowfin's class we were learning how to design our own logo. We got to changed the background, and figures. we watched a video to help us start off then we got a chance to change things. I am learning how to use design principles.

3) What was Sputnik 1? Sputnik 1 was a satellite that Russia built in 1957.

4) In what year was NASA founded? And what does NASA mean? NASA

Tereshkova became the first woman in space. Russia. 1963

6) Where did Mariner 4 fly past? Mariner 4  flew around Mars in 1965.

7) In what year did Apollo 11 land on the moon?  Apollo landed on the moon in
1969.

8) What country launched voyagers probes 1 and 2 into deep space? America
launched voyagers probes 1 and 2 into deep space. They reached jupiter in
1979 and saturn in 1980 (1977)

9) What happened that led to all space shuttles being grounded for 3 years? The
shuttles exploded killing the astronauts on board.
This is what led it to be grounded.

10) When was the international space station completed? The final part was
finished in
2010. (1986).

11) How long did it take for the Cassini Probe to arrive at Saturn

The Cassini probe took nearly 7 years toland there. (2004)

12) What was interesting about New Horizon’s information about Pluto? NASA’s
New Horizons spacecraft arrived at
Pluto after travelling for nine years. Pluto is fifty miles larger than we thought it was.

I think Galileo Galilei made the biggest contribution because he
made the
first telescope.  He discovered Jupiter’s

moons, lunar craters and the  different phases of Venus. 1610

V2 rocket ship because it was the first rocket to make it into space.
I think I would like to find out about other solar systems.
